Our Program

The academic curriculum at The Craig Lower School provides students with the basic language skills that will enable them to become successful, independent learners. The majority of our students struggle with decoding, reading comprehension and/or written expression. We address these difficulties with small group instruction based on multisensory, Orton-Gillingham methods and assistive technology. Our program emphasizes organizational and study skills at the middle school level in preparation for high school and college. A comprehensive communication enhancement program is integrated throughout the curriculum and our children participate in a rich variety of activities including team sports, leadership programs, performing and visual arts, and community awareness events.
