On April 19, 2010, The Craig School sponsored a presentation by Dr. Sally Shaywitz and Dr. Bennett Shaywitz, both Co-Directors of the Yale University Center for Dyslexia and Creativity and professors at Yale's School of Medicine. Over 160 parents, educators and other professionals including psychologists, learning consultants and others gathered at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany for a talk titled: "Overcoming Dyslexia: Translating Research into Practice." As part of the morning presentation, a new film, not available for public distribution was shown, as well as brain imaging research, a Q&A session and a book-signing event. Dr. Sally Shaywitz is one of the leading authorities on Dyslexia and the author of Overcoming Dyslexia.
