Giving to the Craig School PDF Print E-mail

Since its incorporation in 1980, the Craig School community has successfully addressed the needs of students with language-based learning difficulties.  Teachers, parents, friends, alumni and their families have all worked together over the years to support the school and its mission…

The mission of the Craig School is to offer a strategy-based, comprehensive and challenging educational program for students with learning disabilities in grades 3 through 12 who demonstrate academic potential.  The program maximizes their growth, offers opportunities for students to serve their school and local communities and provides a foundation for personal success throughout their academic careers and their lives.

As an independent school, Craig does not receive major funding from state or federal agencies.  The highly specialized educational program is supported by tuition and the gifts of parents, alumni, foundations and fundraising activities.

The Craig School depends upon each family for support through financial contributions and volunteer activities.  Parents are a vital resource in helping Craig not only to remain at the forefront of special education, but in ensuring that our children, many of whom have encountered years of failure before coming to Craig, will have the opportunity to enjoy a successful and rewarding future.
