As part of the Craig High School 10th anniversary celebration year in 2010, we proudly announced the formation of our own chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS). The NHS is the nation’s premier high school honor program established to recognize outstanding and successful students in grades 10 to 12. It is more than just an academic honor roll. The NHS serves to acknowledge those students who have demonstrated a high degree of excellence in the areas of:
Membership in the NHS not only acknowledges students for their current and past academic accomplishments but challenges them to develop in other areas through active involvement in school activities and service to their community. Membership is both an honor and a commitment and we are pleased to be affiliated with such a prestigious and recognized student program. Being a member of the NHS is often regarded as a strong indicator of future success in both post-secondary studies and beyond. As of today, it is estimated that more than one million students are selected members of the NHS. There are chapters in all 50 states including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada. |
