"Many students learn in different ways... Welcome to the homepage of The Craig High School! If you are in search of a high school program that provides a nurturing, yet academically rigorous and college preparatory environment for the high school student with learning disabilities, Craig School should be considered. You will find information on this site about our program, our staff, and the accomplishments of our students. The Craig High School is a unique program that began in the fall of 2000 with the idea that all students can and will learn if the right environment and accommodations are provided. In the spring of 2004, we graduated our first senior class. Our graduates are on the path to realizing their academic goals through placements in a variety of post-secondary programs including colleges and universities. All of our High School teachers have been trained in "All Kinds of Minds Schools Attuned" workshop. Each year teams of faculty members select a small group of students to "attune" for the purpose of identifying and applying the most effective educational approaches to help the students unlock their learning potential. Other specialized strategies at Craig include the Strategic Intervention Model developed by the University of Kansas, one-on-one Orton Gillingham instruction, and a three-year comprehensive college and post-secondary advisory program. Please feel free to contact us for further information. We hope you find our web site informative and enlightening and thank you for your interest in The Craig High School. Dr. Eric M. Caparulo
