Halloween Bash 2024: The CHS Halloween Bash is in the books for this year and it lived up to the hype! 11 Pumpkins entered the Great Pumpkin Contest as well as almost 100% of our students and teachers wearing some of the greatest costumes ever. Pictures are being sorted as our Newsletter went to print so we will be sharing them all next week. In the meantime, here is our Annual Halloween Group pic!
Picture Day THIS MONDAY, November 4th: Speaking of Pics, Monday, November 4th is picture day at Craig High. All of our students will have their pictures taken regardless of ordering pics. We need to create our student IDS for the new school year so as we tell our students, if you are going to have to get your picture taken anyway, you might as well look good!
Our 12th graders will have 2 different portraits taken - with and without a cap/gown. About a week after picture day, all of our parents will receive an email link from JOSTENS PIX which will allow you to view your teen's pictures and the various ordering options available. Everything will be conveniently done online.
We do have a picture retake day scheduled for later this month (Nov 20th) for any students who are absent or would just like a do-over. Any questions about picture day, reach out to our Picture Day Coordinator, Mrs. Barnet at TBarnet@craigschool.org
Fall Parent-Teacher Virtual Conferences, NOV 22-26: We will be hosting our Parent-Teacher Virtual Conferences in later November (Fri Nov 22, Mon Nov 25, Tues Nov 26). We have historically held our PT Conferences to coincide with our 12 PM close dates for student trimester exams and as our lead-in to our Thanksgiving Break. This is also the same format we use for the Spring PT Conferences. We will be returning to this format for the fall. In mid-November, we will be sending out more information on the morning and afternoon options and the sign-up process. For now, we just wanted you to have the dates.
CHS Community Directory 2024-2025: Thank you to all of our families for sharing your contact info with all of our CHS families. Here is the link to our HS Community Directory 2024-2025
HS Parent Membership Drive 2024-The Push for 100%: Our goal that we have set for this school year is for 100% of our CHS families to be a part of PACS. We have gotten close so many times but this is the year! Since our last outreach, we have climbed to over 50% of Craig High families joining PACS so we are getting closer! This essential school community group supports so many amazing opportunities to celebrate our students and teachers throughout the school year.
You can find the PACS membership under the COMMUNITY RESOURCES tab on our school website or just click on https://www.craigschool.org/parents/pacs/. Slide down to the bottom of the page where you will find the PACS WELCOME and MEMBERSHIP FORM 24-25 High School pdf link. Fill it out, write the check, and send both in with your teen. Let’s make it happen for our kids and teachers.
Save the Date-Annual Chili Throwdown Sunday, Dec. 15th: Mark your calendars for Sunday, DECEMBER 15th, and plan to join us for our Annual Chili Throwdown at The Craig High School Campus in Montville. We are looking for the best Chili that the Craig Community has to offer.
We also need tasters to help us crown our chili champs so whether you make chili or not, plan on joining us for a day full of food, fun, and community. Enjoy the Giants and Jets games, bring the kids, and connect with friends. We’re stepping it up this year—don’t miss out! Stay tuned for more details!
CHS Badgers Cross Country Wrap-Up Season at NEW BEGINNINGS 5K in Fairfield: Last weekend, our Cross Country Team wrapped up its season at the annual New Beginnings 5K in Fairfield. Senior, Chloe ran her 1st official 5K while sophomore veteran runner, Max ran one of his best times of the season. Congrats to Coach Crum and the Craig High XC Team for an amazing season!
