Message from Susan Schmitt:
I am excited to announce that Friday, December 20th will be designated as a Head of School Day-- with no classes, a special opportunity to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students and the faculty throughout the fall term. We hope this day serves as a well-deserved moment of recognition for everyone’s dedication and achievements-- and maybe a day to relax before the holidays.
Please note that our half-day events will take place on Thursday, December 19th with a noon dismissal. The Lower School will enjoy a Gingerbread STEM Day, while the High School will host an Alumni Spirit Day.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating together as we wrap up this wonderful fall term.
To iterate:
Friday, December 20-- no school
Thursday, December 19th-- half day
Please communicate these changes with your transportation service.
Message from Dr. Cap:
Before we get to this upcoming week at Craig High, let's talk about next weekend and more specifically, The Craig School Annual Chili Throwdown being held Sunday, December 15th on our Montville campus from 1PM-3PM.
If your goal is to find something fun for the family to do for a couple of hours on a Sunday then that aligns perfectly with our goal of bringing the Craig Community together for a couple of hours of fun! Love to have you join us and there is still time to RSVP (RSVP Chili Throwdown 2024) to come out and enjoy some great Chili and some great company, watch some football, and smash a pinata! Hope to see you at the Throwdown,
Week of December 9th

Sienna is located in Loudonville, New York which is near Albany and is ranked by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top colleges in the country in student outcomes and success after graduation.
Sienna students wear green and gold on campus every Thursday, make their own campus potato chips, are known as the Sienna College Saints (the St. Bernard is their mascot), and their sports fan base is called the “Dog Pound”! Jada was accepted into the Sports Communication Program and was offered an impressive scholarship (90K over 4 years) in recognition of her academic achievements.
PACS (Parent Association of the Craig School)
PACS Faculty Holiday Gift: The Faculty Holiday Gift, organized by PACS, is an annual tradition that allows parents to make a monetary gift to thank ALL faculty and staff while making holiday gifting more manageable for our families by eliminating the need to purchase individual teacher gifts. This year, we are suggesting a minimum contribution of $100 per student. However, any amount, either more or less, is certainly welcome – whatever amount is comfortable for your family.
If you would like to participate, please send cash or a check payable to "The Craig School-- PACS" by mail to: The Craig School - PACS, 10 Tower Hill Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046, or send it to the school with your teen in an envelope marked "PACS Treasurer.” Payments can also be made using PayPal sent to pacs@craigschool.org, although other methods are preferred in order to avoid fees. Contributions need to be received by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11th to ensure your participation. The names of all families who participate are included in a festive acknowledgment given when the gifts are presented. If you have any questions, please contact PACS Treasurer Alex Ruffino at alexsruffino@gmail.com.
