Thanks to a last-minute soup surge, our “Souper Bowl” soup can drive hit the 50-can mark which we delivered to the the Montville Food Pantry. Big shout out to Ms. Skerker and our National Honor Society for spearheading this wonderful and thoughtful event. And a big thanks to the Craig High Community for supporting the cause.
In this week's newsletter, we celebrate our HS-College Partnership with Beacon College that will benefit CHS students who might consider Florida a great place to go to college! In sports news, the Craig High Badgers wrapped up their hoops season with a “W” over Winston Prep in their season finale and now we roll our way into our Feb-March intramural bowling league.
Have a wonderful mid-winter break,
Dr. Cap

CHS Joins Pathway School Partnership with Beacon College: Beacon College, located in Leesburg Florida, and school of choice of four recent CHS Grads, has established Pathway School partnerships with leading high schools nationwide that serve students who learn differently. Craig High School is proud to announce that we can be counted among this group of well-respected learning institutes. The list of Pathway Schools includes the Vanguard School in Florida, Compass HS in California, Denver Academy in Colorado, and the Baltimore Lab School in Maryland to name a few. Now that list includes Craig High. Students enrolling in Beacon from a Pathway School receive an automatic $10,000 renewable scholarship (up to four years of enrollment).
As the first college in the nation accredited to award bachelor’s degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities and ADHD, Beacon College remains committed to student success, offering academic and personal support services that help students achieve their goals. We are truly a community — welcoming, accepting, and supporting each member of it.
At the Center for Student Success, we embrace your learning differences and specifically focus on creating sustainable academic progress by helping you develop the skills needed for personal independence and responsibility. Through our individualized service, you’ll meet weekly with your learning specialist who serves as an academic and life advisor, an educational/developmental mentor, and a student advocate — with one singular goal: to help you succeed academically!
Badgers Hoops Wrap Up their Season with a Win vs. Winston Prep High: The CHS Hoops Team made the trek down Route 10 to take on their Morris County rival, Winston Prep High School.
The Badgers fell behind early and played catch up into the start of the 4th quarter. Things changed when the CHS BRICK WALL made up of senior Mary, freshman Erin, and sophomores Miles and Jacob shut down the Winston Prep scoring to allow our offense to chip away at the lead. The freshman trio of Mario, Vito, and Asher led the Badgers in scoring with senior Mary wrapping up her CHS hoops career with a key 4th quarter basket that put the Badgers within striking distance. It was a true team effort and a wonderful way to wrap up our 2025 basketball campaign.
