CHS Senior Jada Receives Acceptance to Hampton University: We are excited to share that Craig High Senior Jada has added Hampton University to her roster of college acceptances and to the CHS Class of 2024 board of possibilities. And what makes it even more impressive is that Hampton is one of the top schools on Jada’s list.
Hampton U (https://home.hamptonu.edu/) is a 314-acre private research university located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay on the banks of the Hampton River in Hampton, Virginia. They have over 4000 students (67% female), a student-to-teacher ratio of 15:1, and offer 90 degree programs, including 50 bachelor's degree programs, 25 master's degree programs, and 9 doctoral programs. The university is also home to 16 research centers, including the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute, the largest free-standing facility of its kind in the world. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, they are also home to “The Emancipation Oak” tree, one of the 10 great trees in the world as cited by the National Geographic Society. Way to go Jada!
Badger Hoops Starting Up After the New Year: The CHS JV Basketball Team will be starting its winter season when we get back from Holiday Break. The team is CO-ED, open to all Craig High students, and a great opportunity to improve fitness and basic basketball skills while being a part of a dynamic and supportive team.
All practices will be at the CHS Gym from 3-4:30 PM on the following Tuesdays:
