Ordering School Pictures from Josten PIX:   Sometime next week, you will receive an email link from JOSTENS PIX which will allow you to view your teen's pictures taken on picture day last week and the various ordering options available.  Everything will be conveniently done online.   

We do have a picture retake day scheduled for later this month (Nov 20th) for any students who were absent, wore a wrinkled hoodie, or would just like a do-over.  If you would like a retake, reach out to Mrs. Barnet at TBarnet@craigschool.org and she will add your teen to the retake roster. 

SCHEDULING YOUR CHS Fall Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences, Nov 22-26:  Friday, Nov 22nd, will be the start of our Fall Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences.  In addition, we will host PT Conferences on MON Nov 25, and TUES Nov 26th.  You will have a choice of a one-hour block in either the morning or afternoon.  Days and Hour-Blocks to choose from are:

All PT Conference Days will be 12PM Close Days for morning trimester exams.  To schedule your virtual Parent-Teacher conference, you can email Mrs. Mershimer at DMershimer@craigschool.org or call CHS at (973)334-1234 and share your day and time.  We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.  Once you choose your day and time, you can expect to receive the necessary Zoom links and the schedule that you will follow during your conference block by Thursday, Nov 21st.     

For those whose teens have one-on-one reading, please let Mrs. Mershimer know if you would like to touch base with Mrs. Blount, Ms. Gallagher, or Ms. Santiago (depending on who your teen has for one-on-one reading).  For those that would like to touch base with Mrs. Henry for speech, she will be available on FRI Nov 22nd, 7:45-8:45 AM and 1-2 PM so let Mrs. Mershimer know that as well.       

CHS National Honor Society Candy Collection Candy for Soldiers-Treats for Troops: Thank you to all of our families, students, and teachers for supporting our annual NHS “Treats for Troops” Post-Halloween Candy Drive.  Our National Honor Society collected over 25 lbs of candy that we dropped off at our local Soldier’s Angels pick-up site. 

CHS Student Spotlight  

CHS Freshman and Equestrian, Alex, Medals at NJ Special Olympics:  We are so proud to share that Craig High 9th grader and horse enthusiast, Alex competed in the recent NJ Special Olympics and medaled!  His event was the “Independent Rider Course With Walk, Trot, and Obstacles” and after judging was complete, Alex was awarded the Silver Medal! 

Alex has been riding horses for some time now and through the encouragement of his trainer, he applied to participate in the NJ Special Olympics- Equestrian Division.   All of his hard work has truly paid off and we couldn’t be any more proud of this wonderful accomplishment.  Way to go Alex!

Reminders 

CHS Parent Membership Drive 2024-The Push for 100%:  You can find the PACS membership forms under the COMMUNITY RESOURCES tab on our school website or just click on https://www.craigschool.org/parents/pacs/.   Slide down to the bottom of the page where you will find the PACS WELCOME and MEMBERSHIP FORM 24-25 High School pdf link.  Fill it out, write the check, and send both in with your teen.  Let’s make it happen for our kids and teachers. 

Save the Date-Annual Chili Throwdown Sunday, Dec. 15th: Mark your calendars for Sunday, DECEMBER 15th, and plan to join us for our Annual Chili Throwdown at The Craig High School Campus in Montville.  We also need tasters to help us crown our chili champs so whether you make chili or not, plan on joining us for a day full of food, fun, and community.   Enjoy the Giants and Jets games, bring the kids, and connect with friends.
