Craig High School Student Spotlights

Congratulations to Nate (CHS Class of 24) on his College Decision and High School Theater Career: We are excited to announce that Nate has made his final college decision and will enroll at Iona University in New Rochelle, NY in the fall.  Nate is interested in their renowned Sports Media & Strategic Communication program.  Iona provides student support services through their specialized LD program, CAP (Comprehensive Assistance Program).  Students can attend tutoring sessions with professional learning specialists on campus and attend the CAP Summer Transitions Program.

Nate also recently wrapped up his high school theater career with the Pebble Players Youth Repertory Theater in Summit, NJ.  He just performed in his final spring cabaret show with the company and this past fall, he played Coach Carr and Mr. Herron in Mean Girls the Musical.

We look forward to seeing exciting things ahead for Nate as he embarks on this next chapter after graduation. Many congratulations Nate and to the entire Crisci family!

CHS Badgers Reconnect at Mitchell College: CHS Junior, Madison has been a true Craig Badger magnet during her recent college visits! In her past two college tours, she has connected with CHS alumni.  Her most recent tour took her to Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut, where she reconnected with Caroline, a member of the CHS Class of 2023! Caroline shared some of her freshman year highlights at Mitchell, including meeting new friends, living in the dorms, and taking courses in psychology and education as an Early Childhood Education.  This summer, she plans on working with children as a teacher’s assistant while home on break.

Madison’s next college visit will take her to Lynn so we will keep you posted on what CHS Badgers she runs into there!

Badgers Back in Town! Joshua ‘23 visits after his first year at Pennsylvania College of Technology:  We were thrilled to see Josh back at Craig High after he completed his first year of studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT)! Josh is enrolled in the college’s aviation program where he will be certified as a maintenance technician and receive his Associate’s Degree in Aviation Technology.  Josh shared that he is enjoying his program and that his days are packed with hands-on learning experiences at the local hangar working on the planes. This summer, he and some classmates will be interning in Lincoln, Nebraska to continue learning all about the field of aviation technology.

PCT is located in Williamsport, PA, and is affiliated with the Penn State University system.  PCT offers the best of both worlds, as it features a small campus of approximately 5000 students and is located about one hour from Penn State’s main campus in State College, PA.  With an array of majors, students can take part in either associate's or bachelor's degree programs in robotics, mechanical engineering, architecture, culinary arts, graphic design, and welding, just to name a few options. PCT offers fantastic support services through the LEAP Center where students connect with both an academic advisor and a LEAP advisor to ensure a smooth transition to college.   For high school students interested in getting a taste of the college experience, check out PCT’s pre-college summer programs.

We are so proud of Josh for accomplishing so much in his first year of college! We wish him lots of success and a great summer ahead at his internship in Nebraska!
