Financial Aid at Craig School

Making a Craig School Education Accessible

To make fair and consistent assessments, The Craig School partners with School and Student Services (SSS) — a trusted, independent organization — to evaluate each family's ability to contribute toward tuition.

Important: All financial aid applications are accepted online only. Applications and all supporting documents are due in March. Please call Admissions for the exact deadline date.
How to Apply

Begin Your Financial Aid Application

The process is straightforward. Follow these steps to submit your Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) through the SSS online portal. All applications must be completed online — paper applications are not accepted.

1
Visit the SSS Portal

Go to sssnais.org to access the School and Student Services application platform. This is the only accepted method for submitting a financial aid application to The Craig School.

2
Enter the Craig School Code

When prompted, enter Craig School Code: 2650 to link your application directly to us. This code must be used to ensure your application is received and reviewed by our admissions team.

3
Complete Your Parent's Financial Statement (PFS)

Click the prompt to begin your PFS. You only need to complete one PFS even if you have more than one child applying to The Craig School. You will receive a username and password so you can return to update your PFS at any time.

4
Submit Your Supporting Documents

The SSS portal will provide instructions for uploading all required supporting documents. Review the complete document checklist carefully and submit everything before the March deadline.

5
Contact Admissions With Questions

If you have any questions about the process, specific deadlines, or your individual family situation, please call the Admissions office directly. We are happy to assist you through every step of the application.

What You'll Need to Submit

Along with your completed Parent's Financial Statement (PFS), The Craig School requires the following supporting financial documents. All items should be submitted through the SSS portal as instructed during your online application. Having these ready in advance will make the process faster.

Additional documentation and information may be requested as we evaluate your file — including a request for a 4506-T form after the student has enrolled.

A complete copy of your latest Federal Income Tax Return along with all supporting schedules included.
Most Recent Tax Return

Separated or Divorced Families

Important Information for Separated or Divorced Parents

We understand that every family situation is unique. The Craig School has a clear policy to ensure fair and complete assessment of financial need for families with separated or divorced parents.

The Craig School requires a completed PFS from both natural parents and any step-parents. An application submitted with only one PFS will be considered incomplete and cannot be fully evaluated.

We recognize this can sometimes raise questions or require additional coordination. Please feel free to contact the Head of Schools office directly to discuss your individual family situation — we are here to help guide you through the process with care and confidentiality.
