National Honor Societies
Craig School is proud to host chapters of both the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society — recognizing students who demonstrate excellence far beyond the classroom.
National Honor Society
The nation's premier high school honor program, NHS recognizes outstanding, successful students in grades 10 through 12. More than an academic honor roll, NHS acknowledges students who demonstrate a high degree of excellence across four core pillars — and challenges them to grow further through active involvement in school activities and service to their community. Membership in NHS is both an honor and a commitment.
National Art Honor Society
The National Art Honor Society inspires, acknowledges, and recognizes students who have shown outstanding aptitudes in the visual arts. The goals of NAHS are to further the creative abilities and talents of members and bring greater attention to art in both the school and local communities. Members are recommended by the high school Art Advisory Committee and, once accepted, create and submit work for online publication, NAHS News, e-portfolios, and county, state, and national art competitions.
Community Service
Community service is work done by a person or group of people to benefit others — particularly in one's local community — without expectation of reward or compensation. At Craig School, students are encouraged to be positive contributors to the school community, the Montville community, and their local home community. This commitment to service is woven into every student's educational journey.
